First Department of Surgery

Introduction

The main responsibility of the First Department of Surgery is to provide basic elective and acute surgical care. As a clinical site, it is also a specialised medical facility for gastrointestinal surgery, thoracic and lung surgery, colorectal surgery, mini-invasive surgery, special oncosurgery, neonatal and paediatric surgery. Furthermore, the department cooperates with the staff of the trauma centre and emergency admission unit.
